Description of the Learning Site
LS4 provides BIOFIN with an explorer NBS that is activated by the regional utility (COPASA) and implemented by local communities.
The program aims to improve the quality of water in the locality through environmental diagnosis and implementation of solutions designed to improve water management. The introduction of mainstream finance to increase water protection and restoration activity has the potential to be highly impactful on human health and freshwater biodiversity.
Data on different governance structures (e.g., players, roles, implemented decision-making procedures), costs and the outcomes achieved (ES, public health, economic activity, economic preferences and valuations). Specifically, LS4 will provide multi-level governance data and requirements.
Co-design and validate ‘Menu of Governance Options’ within the Dashboard and the analysis of Fund governance structures will help to shape the Dashboard to contribute to informed decision making independence, conflict management, and transparency.
