Co-Creation Workshop: Biodiversity & Finance Education – Introducing the BIOFIN-EU Knowledge Accelerators

As the global biodiversity crisis intensifies, the financial sector is increasingly expected to play a key role in supporting nature-positive outcomes. However, integrating biodiversity into finance education remains a significant challenge. Many educators lack accessible teaching materials, and translating complex biodiversity science into finance and business curricula can be difficult.

What is this workshop about?

This interactive session will introduce the BIOFIN-EU Knowledge Accelerators, a set of open educational resources developed by the BIOFIN-EU project. These tools are designed to help educators integrate biodiversity and nature-related topics into finance and business school teaching. These resources aim to support the next generation of finance professionals in understanding and addressing biodiversity-related risks and opportunities.

During the session, we will:

  • Present the new teaching resources developed within the BIOFIN-EU project.
  • Gather your valuable feedback on the teaching tools to ensure they meet the needs of modern educators.
  • Explore how educators can better integrate biodiversity and nature-related topics into finance curricula.
